Dwellings
Pantin, France, 2013
The 17 dwellings in Pantin are part of the overall renovation project in the city center, which has been under way for several years. The building at the corner of Hoche Street and Florian Street is part of this extremely disparate urban landscape, combining stone, brick buildings or wood with suburban buildings in traditional white plaster, or industrial buildings with abstract facades. From this situation the project proposes a form of resonance between these different architectural typologies, while offering contemporary housing, with balconies and terraces. The double façade thus meets these different objectives, proposing extensions of polycarbonate shutters outside the dwellings, creating a protective private environment.
